Did I Close the Front Door? Blog
Here is a great story from one of our employees at Control4. His name is David Phillips and he is one of our Area Sales Managers in the United Kingdom: "I have a Nyce ZigBee Contact sensor on my front door, which I’ve programmed to send me an email whenever my front door is opened. This way, if I am out and the door opens unexpectedly, I can call a neighbour or family member to check it out for me. That’s cool by itself, but I found a better use for it. I popped out to the local shops to pick up some essentials in my car – it’s only a few minutes away.

World of Wonder Blog
Kirkby Lonsdale (pronounced “curb-E”—the second ‘k’ is silent—those tricksy Brits!) is a small, ancient market town in the north of England, nestled between two of the country’s most stunning national parks—the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town is peppered with unspoiled historical buildings and landmarks, as well as an array of exceptional independent shops and small businesses, most of them owned and run by locals. It is, in short, the epitome of Englishness. Step inside the delightful, three-story Victorian townhouse at number 4 Main Street, however, and you will be swept across the globe to Africa, the Far East, Europe, and the Americas.

Ted brings over 25 years of experience from the enterprise and consumer technology fields and the work from his team has led to multiple industry awards for first-class online and in-classroom training programs. GUIDANCE FROM A GEEK WHO PREFERS TO GO-IT-ALONE When I bought my modest 2,300-square-foot suburban home, I was pretty keen on the idea that I would automate it myself. Seriously, how hard could it be? Or, so I thought. The typical person who gets the itch to automate their own home is a lot like me: technical and self-reliant.
Baby - or Rather, Husband - Monitoring Blog
I’m a first-time mom. And a nervous-wreck of a mom at that. I purchased a baby monitor well before my 10-month-old son was born and I immediately hated it. Hated the static and the unreliability. So I trashed the monitor and installed an In-Wall Touch Screen with Camera and use my Control4 system to monitor my son now. MUCH better. However, I don’t only use it to monitor my baby. In fact, one of the best uses I’ve found is to monitor my husband. Corby, is great at a lot of things. He’s a one-man circus act for our son. He’s a great disc-golfer. He can make a mean shrimp pasta.
