Control Your Home With Voice Alone From Your Phone! Blog
This post comes to us from Ted Rosenberger, Founder & CEO of HouseLogix, creator of VoicePod Mobile. When Apple unveiled Siri for the iPhone 4S in 2011, the world changed. While decent voice recognition technology had been available for decades, Siri was the first service to integrate powerful speech-driven information retrieval and control functions into the core user experience of a mainstream mobile device. Siri certainly has had its problems and issues, some of which have become the target ofSaturdayNight Live skits and entertaining Microsoft commercials. But in spite of its occasional hiccups, tens of millions of people, including myself, use Siri every day.
Automation Hits the Road Blog
As someone who grew up watching Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jeff Gordon battle on the racetrack every weekend, I always dreamed of buying a motorhome and traveling from state to state watching every NASCAR race throughout the season. When I saw what one race fan from Georgetown, Tennessee did to his 49-foot motor coach, I considered selling everything I own to join him. This high-tech RV is equipped with the usual features of any motor home: a king-size bed, fully-functioning kitchen and bathrooms. However, the owner decided to take it up a notch by installing three TVs, two DirecTV satellite boxes, a Blu-ray player, an Xbox 360 gaming system, and two Control4 HC-250 Controllers that act as the command center, running all of the equipment seamlessly from one device.

Back to School: 7 Ways a Smart Home Can Help Blog
It’s that time of year. Shopping for new clothes, buying new backpacks and school supplies, registering for classes, getting the first-day jitters. And for a lot of parents (like me), it’s time to figure out how to manage kids before and after school. Here are a few of my favorite ways to use my Control4 home automation system to “school” my family. 1. GET UP! The kids certainly got used to sleeping in late during the summer break. Now they have to get up at the crack of dawn in order to get dressed and ready for school. No easy process.

BLOCK-BUSTER: THE HOUSE THAT HOLLYWOOD BUILT Blog
LOCATION: Los Angeles, California // DEALER: Hafco & Associates // PHOTOGRAPHY: Nick Springett There are dream destinations, and then there are destinations for your dreams. Los Angeles, California is the latter—a veritable dream Mecca. A real-world fantasy-land where we find more stars on the ground than in the sky. It’s the entertainment capital of the world, so what better place to build an entertainer’s dream house? That’s just what Cyrus Harouni of Hafco & Associates did. And the poetic beauty of this particularly posh pad is that it has all the trappings of a spectacular Hollywood blockbuster.
