On Amazon’s Fire phone, that is. Today, Amazon started shipping its new Fire phone and the Control4 App will be among the first apps available for customers. Amazon says its Fire phone will initially come with a year membership of free Amazon Prime benefits, and includes an entirely new sensor system called Dynamic Perspective which responds to the way you hold, view and move the phone, 3D and face-recognition technology (the screen actually moves with your eyes!) and Amazon Firefly’s technology, which lets you point the phone at items and click to identify them.
As Control4 CEO Martin Plaehn noted, “Control4 customers are on the cutting-edge of technology adoption. We knew it would be important for our tech-savvy customers to have access to control and command your smart home from the latest and greatest smartphone—the Amazon Fire—as soon as it shipped.”
The Control4 App lets you easily connect and control your lights, locks, shades, AC, music, AV and more from the most popular smartphones and tablets available – iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones and tablets, and now the Amazon Fire.
Show us how you’re using your favorite mobile devices to control your home by posting your photos to Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #C4Anywhere. We’ll give a random winner a new smartphone of their choice.* Fire away!
