Best Buy...Apple Wannabe?

Best BuyWell, you can't blame Best Buy. Not really. Marketers, tech people…we all secretly want to be Apple. But do you think Best Buy's new store design is enough to lure you back into the store, not just to shop but to buy?

Personally, I like the idea of a smaller, more intimate shopping experience. Buying technology is intimidating enough without being overwhelmed by an enormous, impersonal store. I love that they're making it easier to find someone to answer questions and escort you to the perfect product. And being able to buy without waiting in those infernal lines? Awesome!

As much as I love saving a buck, I much prefer to have some real interaction with a real product – live and 3-dimensional – before I buy. And I think people really do want to connect with an expert, whether that's a custom integrator or a "geek" to talk tech. Those are just a few reasons why we are really excited that people can demo Control4 at over 350 Magnolia at Best Buy stores nationwide, not to mention any one of our authorized dealers.
