Control4 Showcases Premium Home Automation Solutions at National Homebuilder Conference
Builders and developers adopt Control4 home automation to attract tech-savvy homebuyers.
Draper, UT – June 17, 2014 – Control4 (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading provider of automation and control solutions for the connected home, in partnership with Irontown Homes and Professional Builder magazine, has created a unique demo home experience at the PCBC 2014. A showcase of the latest in modular construction and design, home automation solutions, and sustainable living products, the 534-square-foot modular guest house was built in Spanish Fork, Utah, and transported to the heart of San Francisco.
A display of modern building techniques and smart home technology, the home will be at Moscone Center North June 25-26 to showcase a Control4 home automation system including wireless lighting, motorized shades and skylight, ductless heating and cooling, discrete security and surveillance system, and whole-home audio and complete entertainment control – all controllable from a smart phone or tablet from virtually anywhere in the world.
According to a survey by Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate, when it comes to the next generation of homeowners, 84% of 18-35 year olds believe that technology is essential in the home they are buying, listing security and smart temperature control at the top of their must have lists. Trends toward a customized smart home, distinct from previous generations, has led Toll Brothers, the nation’s leading builder of luxury homes, to embrace Control4 home automation solutions as a strategic new technology feature to offer homebuyers.

- Shading: Homeowners can have the ultimate in convenience and control of shades and hard to reach skylights plus the benefit of energy management.
- Anywhere Access: With the Control4 MyHome app, homeowners can monitor and control their Control4 smart home from their favorite mobile device – no matter where they are. In this guest house, the owner can program a “Goodnight” scene to set the temperature and lights, arm the security system and lock the doors whether they are in the bedroom, at the office or vacationing abroad.
