Control4 Appoints Edison Electric Institute Executive Thomas R. Kuhn To Board of Directors

EEI President Brings Smart Grid Leadership and Over 30 Years of Energy Expertise to Control4 Board

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — August 3, 2010 – Control4, a leader in affordable IP-based home control systems, today announced the appointment of Thomas R. Kuhn, President of the Edison Electric Institute, to the Control4 Board of Directors. The Edison Electric Institute is the association of investor-owned electric companies whose members generate and distribute approximately three-quarters of the Nation's electricity.

The Control4 home automation product line has long been popular with consumers, and now includes solutions for utilities seeking to leverage the smart grid to empower their customers with insight into their energy usage and control over their costs. Mr. Kuhn will bring the perspective of energy providers to Control4, which will contribute to the company’s product and partnership strategy in the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) arena.

Prior to joining EEI, Kuhn served as President of the American Nuclear Energy Council. Kuhn also headed the energy section of the investment banking firm, Alex Brown and Sons and served as the White House Liaison Officer to the Secretary of the Navy. Additionally, Kuhn served on DOE’s Secretary of Energy Advisory Board and the Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Boards of the United States Energy Association, the Alliance to Save Energy, the Electric Drive Transportation Association and the American Council for Capital Formation. Mr. Kuhn is also Chairman of the Committee of 100 of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and Chairman-Emeritus of the American Society of Association Executives.

Kuhn joins Control4’s highly reputable board including industry leaders Adam Grosser, Foundation Capital; Len Jordan, Frazier Technology Ventures; Scott Petty, VSpring Capital; Andy Sessions, Thomas Weisel Venture Partners and Chris Paisley, Former CFO of 3Com.
