Control4 Integrates With Leading Hospitality Providers to Deliver IP Entertainment and Room Automation Solutions

Improved functionality and interoperability demonstrates power and breadth of IP-based automation solutions for personalizing the guest experience

AUSTIN, TX – June 17, 2008 – Control4, a leader in affordable IP-based control and entertainment systems, today announced plans with leading hospitality vendors to facilitate interoperability and integration with the Control4® Suite Systems at HITEC 2008 (Booth #353). Control4 Suite Systems provides the hospitality industry with a practical, reliable automation operating system that is affordable.

“Just like our homes, the hospitality suite is overflowing with digital media and feature rich gear that should all work together but doesn’t,” said Will West, Chief Executive Officer, Control4. “We’re pleased to work closely with the leaders of the hospitality industry to begin to offer seamless, integrated one-touch control of the guest suite features, such as lighting, room temperature, television/video systems, music, draperies and even concierge services.”

To facilitate interoperability and integration between third party products and Control4’s digital home platform, Control4 is licensing its operating system through the C4iQ™ certified partner program. C4iQ™ certified partner program enables companies to embed the Control4® operating system into a range of products, such as televisions, routers, receivers, etc. Control4 also offers a certified partner program for manufacturers to build drivers for maximum interoperability between their products and Control4’s operating system.

The following companies have plans to become Control4 Certified or C4iQ certified partners:

Lorica Solutions, the leader in converged managed networks for the hospitality industry, will offer the Control4® Operating System embedded into the Lorica Room Center. Additionally, Lorica is becoming a Control4® Preferred Distribution Partner, which will allow them to design, sell and install Control4 Suite Systems products within the hospitality market.

SAFLOK™, a leading electronic lock manufacturer and access control solutions provider, plans to become a Control4® Certified Partner. With a reputation for offering best-in-class solutions, SAFLOK products are designed for the hospitality, multi-family residential, military, and commercial markets.

Solar Shading Systems® is a full-service window treatment provider and plans to be a Control4 Certified Partner offering control of window treatments through the Control4 system.

Axxess ReadyMaid is a new electronic replacement for the old “Do not disturb” doorknob hangers and is also planning to become a Control4 Certified partner allowing for interoperability of its functionality from the Control4® remote.

Bartech Systems International is the world’s leading company in automatic on-line mini-bars and plans to become a Control4 certified partner. Automatic charge posting, computerized refill report and remote coldness production control will operate through the Control4® network.

Simplikate Techcierge HOTEL™ Virtual Suite feature allows the guest to take their room with them, providing 24/7 access to hotel amenities from anywhere in the world via the internet or touch-tone phone. Simplikate Techceierge HOTEL plans to become a Control4 Certified Partner, allowing the two systems to exchange information from a single interface to the guest.
