Sony, Pioneer, Kwikset, Yamaha, Samsung, Integra, Denon, and More Join Control4 Certification Programs to Create the Smart Home

CE Leaders Integrate Their Product Lines with the Control4 Operating System for the Home, Creating Smart Home Solutions to Make Life Easier and Greener

Las Vegas, NV – CES 2010 – LVCC South Hall 1, Booth #21407 – January 7, 2010 –Control4, a leader in affordable IP-based home control and entertainment systems, announced today that top CE manufacturers are including more than 25 product lines in Control4® certification programs.
Fourteen companies have recently joined the Control4® partner certification program and have committed to launching over twenty-five Control4® Certified or Control4® iQ product lines in 2010. Products announced today include full lines of Control4 Certified Denon, Integra, Marantz, Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony, Yamaha, and Zatabit home entertainment devices, Kwikset ZigBee deadbolts, Lutron lighting systems, MechoShade and Somfy motorized window covering solutions and PakEdge networking equipment. Certification Programs

Control4 offers two levels of certification and integration with the Control4® platform:

Control4 iQ

Control4® iQ products have the Control4 Operating System embedded in the device, enabling it to function as a Control4® controller for an entire home automation installation.

• LG’s modular card, based on the proven Control4® Operating System, can be integrated with LG Electronics’ commercial HDTVs via their unique interface port – eliminating the need for a separate controller box.

• Pioneer’s EntertainmentTap prototype media server includes embedded Control4 iQ technology, which enables it to function as a Control4® home controller.

• NAD A/V Receivers, featuring innovative Modular Design Construction (MDC), can be customized with Control4 iQ technology by installing the NAD CM 200 MDC Upgrade Module. This enables any MDC AV Receiver to function as a Control4 home controller.

Control4 Certified

Control4® Certified products pass rigorous interoperability tests in Control4 labs to ensure they integrate seamlessly with Control4® home automation systems.

• Kwikset® SmartCode™ with Home Connect™ allows homeowners to monitor and control their door locks using a Web enabled cell phone, the Internet, or the Control4® automation system.

• Denon CD Changers are equipped with HDCD*, MP3 and WMA decoders to let you enjoy regular audio CDs, HDCD discs, and MP3 and WMA encoded CD-R/RW discs.

• Denon Blu-Ray Players can play back Blu-Ray discs, Super Audio CDs, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video and Compact Discs with the highest level of audio and video perfection.

• Denon A/V Receivers have advanced audio and video processing ability, along with state-of-the-art next-generation digital media connectivity with built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi so you can access music and photo files as well as Internet radio stations.

• Denon Stereo Receivers are equipped with HD Radio and can handle almost any configuration combination. The two-source three-zone capability allows users to run multiple sources to multiple areas at the same time and with 4 ohms can handle the most demanding speakers with pure, clean sound.

• Denon Amplifiers provide a host of configuration and control options, including the ability to provide multiple mono, stereo and bridged (high power) outputs to drive speakers anywhere in the home.

• Denon Tuners are equipped with dual independent AM/FM tuners, each capable of storing up to 56 of your favorite stations. The modular expansion capability provides 4 open tuner expansion slots, allowing optional slide-in tuner modules to be easily installed.

• Integra Receivers feature the latest in technology from isf, Audyssey and THX combined with HDMI 1.3a, Ethernet and RS-232 capabilities, video upconversion and scaling.

• Integra Tuners have a card-based architecture that gives you the power of choice when it comes to listening to your favorite radio format: AM, FM, XM or HD Radio. Features include automatic tuning and direct access up to 40 of your favorite stations.

• Lutron’s HomeWorks® and RadioRA®2 lighting control systems are new additions to the Control4 Certified products list. Control4 certified drivers for both Lutron systems will be released in the first quarter of 2010.

• Onkyo Receivers feature the latest in technology from isf, Audyssey and THX combined with HDMI 1.3a, Ethernet and RS-232 capabilities, video upconversion and scaling.

• Onkyo Tuners have a card-based architecture that gives you the power of choice when it comes to listening to your favorite radio format: AM, FM, XM/Sirius or HD Radio. Features include automatic tuning and direct access up to 40 of your favorite stations.

• PakEdge Wireless Access Points are suitable for mounting in-wall, on-wall or in-ceiling and utilize POE technology and duel band spectrum to provide the highest power, most reliable enterprise-class AP available in the AV industry.

• PakEdge Routers provide an enterprise-level gateway security appliance preconfigured with ready to use features such as single subnet, multiple VLAN’s and QoS port priority. Custom installation brackets ensure that Pakedge routers do not compromise the aesthetics of custom AV racks.

• Pioneer’s Elite VSX and SC receivers are pending Control4® Certification.

• Pioneer’s Elite BDP Blu-Ray players are pending Control4® Certification.

• Somfy's RTS and ILT/RS-485 Motors (US and European versions) are the AC and DC standard motors for a variety of interior window covering applications. When Somfy's ILT/RS-485 motors are used in a Control4 system, it's possible to receive feedback as to the position of the window covering in the home.

• Sony BDP-CX7000ES Blu-ray Disc™ MegaChangers store and play up to 400 Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and CDs, allowing consumers to relocate their disc library to a convenient, easy-to-access location. They also feature the ability to download information from Gracenote’s MusicID® and VideoID™ products to organize movies and music.

• Sony ES line of A/V receivers allow you to enjoy your home entertainment in multiple rooms. Share music, photos and videos with your PC even if the receiver is in another room and experience advanced A/V technology that reproduces the latest audio formats.

• Sony Front Projectors allow you to view programming, play videogames, or watch the big game on an even bigger screen with outstanding image quality and color.

• Yamaha RX-V2065 Receivers provide 1080p-upscaling HDMI (5 in/2 out), ultra low jitter PLL circuitry for accurate audio reproduction and network functions.

• Yamaha Blu-Ray Players feature high-quality audio and video, crisp, clear images, and flexible connectivity options.

• Yamaha YSP Sound Bars provide 1080p-compatible HDMI, analog video to HDMI digital video upconversion, analog video upscaling to HD quality, iPod compatibility, XM HD surround compatibility, built-in FM tuner and a wide variety of beam settings including My Surround for true multi-channel surround sound enjoyment from a single component.

• Zatabit multimedia servers display your entire library of music, videos, and photos on your TV or touch screen. A DVD player is included in each machine or you can play back stored content from the server and deliver up to 10 streams using optional Zatabit clients or any other client supported by Control4.
