Control4 Enables Smart Homes to Intelligently Control Music Through Improved Tuner and Audio Matrix Switch
New Audio Matrix Switch and Enhanced Multi-Tuner Deliver High-Quality Audio and New Industrial Design
Denver, CO - September 4, 2008 — Control4, the leader in affordable IP-based home control and entertainment systems, today announced the release of a new Audio Matrix Switch and Multi-Tuner. Both products have been enhanced and certified for international use and feature the new and elegant industrial design introduced in Control4’s® line of home controllers.
Audio Matrix Switch
Control4’s robust Audio Matrix Switch combines the option to switch up to 16 input sources to 16 output zones with the automatic detection of audio signals, increasing customization capabilities as well as the ability to manage individual audio zones.
“The new Audio Matrix Switch makes it easier to implement custom programming and manage specific audio zones throughout the home,” said Will West, Chief Executive Officer of Control4. “Our customers will appreciate the system’s sophistication and ability to handle multiple audio sources, which will save our dealers and installers time and the headache often associated with the installation of this level of functionality in home automation systems.”
Multi-Tuner
Easy to integrate with other audio equipment, the entirely new design for this tuner is only one of the many improvements Control4 has made to this device. Each rack-mountable multi-tuner offers triple-tuning capabilities, seamlessly delivering three audio signals into the home, including two AM/FM signals and an optional XM Satellite Radio signal, all at a lower price. Additionally, the Multi-Tuner includes enhanced audio circuitry enabling the reception of international radio signals. Mr. West continued, “This newly enhanced version of our Multi-Tuner features a price reduction over our previous model while delivering improved tuning options for homeowners. Our tuner improvements now make it possible for users around the world to enjoy a wide range of audio options in the home.”
New Industrial Design & International Certification

Both products are now RoHS compliant and have also been CE Certified supporting Control4’s commitment to providing global solutions.
Shipping by the end of 2008, the Audio Matrix Switch will retail for $1,295 , the Multi-Tuner will retail for $599, with the optional XM Module retailing for $199.
