Control4 Picks Top 5 Automated Spaces to Watch Super Bowl 2014

From a multi-display personal sports bar to a fully outfitted RV, Control4® automation solutions deliver simple control for the ultimate viewing experience

Salt Lake City, Utah – January 29, 2014 – On Sunday, February 2, 2014 televisions across the country will be tuned into Super Bowl XLVIII, the first cold-weather outdoor Super Bowl in NFL history. Rather than brave the elements, Control4 (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading provider of home automation systems, has scoped out some of the best automated spaces sure to provide a one-of-a-kind game day adventure.

Entertainment Haven
This three-story, Texas-based residence features a whole house automation system and boasts a multilevel pool and patio area containing separate audio zones for the pool, cabana, master patio, and patio TVs. Complete with a rock wall tavern, beer taps, game room, and a 5.1-channel family room surround sound system with an 80-inch TV, the home also includes automated lighting, multi-zone audio/video, and shading, all seamlessly controlled by Control4 via iPads and iPhones. During halftime, guests can play a quick game of pick-up on the second-floor basketball court which also incorporates a hefty flat screen for your game viewing pleasure. (Images Here)

Personal Sports Bar
Three 70-inch Sharp flat screen TVs are just the beginning for this Texas game room-turned customized sports-bar. Armed with Control4 technology at the helm, this media room is custom programmed so that a simple touch of the icon labeled “ESPN” on the Control4 touchscreen or homeowner’s iPad immediately turns each of the TVs to a different, preset ESPN channel. Tucked inside the hand-built pullout rack at the bar is a powerful arsenal of A/V solutions including an Onkyo receiver, Xbox, Sony Blu-ray player, and three DirecTV satellite boxes. Of course, not to be outdone by your typical sports bar, this automated man cave also features a refrigerator, kegerator, microwave oven, ice maker and more. (Images Here)

Sports Lover’s Paradise
Broncos fans may hope to score a personal invite to this ESPN-style media room, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, featuring four 46-inch Samsung LCD TVs that flank a 55-inch Samsung LCD perched upon a motorized mount. Each TV is fed by a high-definition Comcast cable box, creating a true sports fan’s dream by delivering the perfect set-up for watching multiple sporting events at one time. A Control4 automation system manages the video wall allowing the homeowner to watch all five TVs at once, while the integrated whole house audio system allows friends watching the big game in the sports room, move to any of the home’s 11 entertainment zones and never miss a play. The space also features framed jerseys, inviting leather theater seats with cup holders, cushioned barstools and backlit sports placards. (Images Here)

The Ultimate Fan Cave
This real-life fantasy fan zone includes two separate video walls, a theater, an arcade with vintage video and pinball game consoles, air hockey, foosball tables, and two separate bar areas with seating for a dozen people. Fully integrated and controlled through a Control4 home automation system, one bar wall features a Samsung 46” full HD 3D Smart TV, flanked by two 40” versions while a secondary theater wall boasts a 65” Samsung Slim LED Smart TV and two 55” screens with an optional 92” projection screen that can drop down from its hidden space in the ceiling. Watch on the Go
Quite possibly the ultimate tailgating machine, this American Eagle 45H coach bus is stacked with a Control4 system that powers a 122-inch roll-down screen, a 4,000 lumen projector, additional 52-inch, 42-inch and 30-inch televisions, satellite receivers, two 1,000-watt speakers, and a Blu-ray player. Custom automation allows all four television screens to display the same game at once, or different games on each, from just a touch of a button on an iPad. (Images Here)

No matter the Super Bowl party, tailgating, or viewing experience, Control4 offers technology that suits a wide range of entertainment needs. From one-button control over multiple screens to powerful multi-room audio, ensuring you never miss a call or play, Control4 has your Super Bowl Sunday covered.
