Connected Installation's experience centre was created to provide a fully immersive environment where clients can experience high-end home automation in a real-world setting. Operating within the luxury residential market across Cheshire and the surrounding area in England, Connected Installation identified a need for a space where clients, developers, architects, and interior designers could engage with home automation technology before committing to a significant investment.  

The experience centre was designed to support several core business goals, including increasing client confidence, allowing visitors to experience the technology firsthand, strengthening relationships with key trade partners, and positioning Connected Installation as a leading specialist within the luxury residential sector.  

Designed for high-net-worth homeowners, property developers, architects, interior designers, and construction professionals involved in bespoke residential projects, the showroom reflects the standards of the properties Connected Installation works within. Rather than presenting technology in a traditional showroom format, the systems are integrated discreetly into lifestyle-led spaces, allowing visitors to understand both the functional and aesthetic benefits of integrated technology.

To ensure the experience remains cutting-edge and engaging, Connected Installation continues to evolve the showroom with advances in technology. Recent additions include the latest DMX lighting technology, external audio and lighting solutions, and upgraded security technologies. These enhancements have helped create a more immersive and flexible environment, improving customer engagement, strengthening demonstrations, and supporting the company's goal of showcasing modern, integrated technology solutions.

Each area has been carefully designed to replicate a high-end home setting, allowing visitors to experience Control4 technology exactly as it would function in a luxury residential environment. The layout flows naturally through distinct lifestyle spaces, including a sophisticated lounge with surround sound cinema, a contemporary kitchen, a homely bedroom, an elegant ensuite, and a cosy snug.  

This curated journey demonstrates how whole-home automation can enhance every area of the home, adapting to different needs, routines, and lifestyles. The lounge and cinema deliver a premium entertainment experience with integrated lighting, climate control, shading, and cinematic audio-visual performance at the touch of a button. In the kitchen, smart control enhances everyday routines through lighting scenes, background audio, and hands-free automation. The bedroom and ensuite demonstrate how technology can support comfort and personalization, from gentle wake-up scenes to calming nighttime environments. Meanwhile, the snug illustrates how lighting, sound, and atmosphere can be effortlessly adjusted to suit relaxation or social moments.

The experience centre was developed using the same approach Connected Installation brings to client projects: understanding how people live and designing technology around their needs. By focusing on lifestyle first, the team created a space that demonstrates how home automation can be tailored to different routines, preferences, and ways of living.  

Bringing that vision to life required close collaboration with a focused group of strategic partners, each contributing specialist expertise, equipment, and support that enhanced the overall quality and impact of the finished space.  

A core partner was Control4, which supplied the home automation equipment used throughout the experience centre. The industry-leading platform forms the backbone of the smart home demonstrations, delivering seamless and intuitive control of lighting, AV, climate, and security while showcasing the flexibility of a truly connected home automation system.  

The physical build and spatial design were created in collaboration with The Colony Group and Nomadic Construction, whose expertise played a key role in shaping the overall layout and client journey. Their approach helped ensure the experience centre functioned not simply as a display space, but as a carefully structured experience that guides visitors through key living spaces and demonstrates home automation technology within a clear and engaging narrative.  

Together, these partnerships helped create an immersive destination that showcases how Control4 technology, thoughtful design, and personalized experiences come together to transform modern living, giving visitors the opportunity to experience connected living firsthand.
