Q: Can I use the Neeo Remote with my own USB power supply?
A: The Neeo charging dock should be used with only the included power supply. Using a different power supply is not covered by warranty and may damage the remote or cause it to not charge properly.

Q: When setting up the Neeo Remote, why doesn’t my 5 GHz Wi-Fi network show on the list?
A: The remote supports only 2.4 GHz networks. 2.4 GHz is superior to 5 GHz at penetrating walls and providing better overall Wi-Fi coverage in a home.

Q: When setting up the Neeo Remote, what do I select under “Select System”?
A: Select your Control4 controller. Usually only one option is listed (starting with “EA” or “CA”), but if multiple systems are displayed, contact your Smart Home Pro for help.

Q: Can I have more than one Neeo Remote in my home?
A: Yes, your Control4 system can support up to 30 Neeo Remotes.

Q: Is the Neeo Remote available in different colors?
A: Yes, the Neeo Remote is available in silver and black finishes.

Q: How do I power cycle (reboot) the Neeo Remote?
A: You can either:

  • Press and hold the power button until the power menu displays, then tap Restart, or
  • Press and hold the power button until the remote turns off, then press the power button again turn it back on.

Q: Why is the screen protector peeling off?
A: The screen protector Is there for only temporary protection during shipment and should be removed.

Q: Is the battery replaceable?
A: No, the battery is built in.

Q: What is the warranty for the Neeo Remote?
A: 2 years.

Using

Q: Does the Neeo Remote use infrared?
A: Infrared signals come from your Control4 system—they do not come from the remote control itself. This allows you to use the remote without having to point it at the TV and lets you control every device in your home without moving to the actual room.

Q: Does the Neeo Remote support voice control?
A: The Control4 system as a whole integrates with voice services from Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, which provide excellent far-field voice control of your Control4 home.

Q: Do I need to point the Neeo Remote at my TV to control it?
A: No, the Neeo Remote wirelessly communicates with your Control4 system, so you do not need to point Neeo at a device to control it.

Q: On the Neeo Remote, can I add and configure a music service using an Add Music feature like I can on my Control4 touchscreens?
A: The Add Music feature is available only on the Control4 mobile app or touchscreens.

Q: Are Control4 Wake and Sleep available on the Neeo Remote?
A: No, Control4 Wake and Sleep are available only on the Control4 mobile app or in-wall or tabletop touchscreens.

Customizing

Q: Can I change the Neeo Remote’s screen background?
A: The background is designed to be simple and unobtrusive, so changing the background is not supported.

Q: How do I add or arrange my favorites on the Neeo Remote?
A: Use the Control4 mobile app or a Control4 T3 or T4 Series in-wall or tabletop touchscreen to add or arrange favorites. After they are arranged, the updated favorites are automatically populated to the Neeo Remote.

Q: I have a favorite that opens a web app. Will it appear on my Neeo Remote?
A: No, the Neeo Remote does not support web apps.

Q: How many favorites can I have on my Neeo Remote?
A: The Neeo Remote can have up to 96 favorites per room. At 6 favorites per page, that makes 16 pages of favorites, or 17 pages total with the remote-focused buttons.

Q: Do dynamic icons on the Neeo Remote’s room screen behave the same as on my touchscreens?
A: No, the icons do not display dynamically.
