Automatic Updates

The Remote Hub driver in Composer enables the auto-update process, checks for updates, and pushes updates to each remote in the project when they are available.

Update process

Each night the Remote Hub driver checks for any updates. You can view and adjust the update schedule in the Scheduler agent.

• If new software is found and no media is active in the project, the Remote Hub will update. (Every Thursday night the Remote Hub will force an update even if media is active.)

• If the Neeo Remote is on the charger, it will update after the Remote Hub finishes updating.

• If the Neeo Remote is not on the charger, it will update as soon as it wakes up or at 4:15 am local time.

Best practices

• Keep the remote in the cradle at night to avoid updates when the remote is picked up for use.
