Configure System Remote Control SR-260
Use the System Design and Connections views to add and identify this device.
Ensure that the System Remote Control SR-260 is installed as directed in the Control4 System Remote Control SR-260 Setup Guide available on the Dealer Portal.
To add and configure an SR-260:
- To add the driver and identify the device see “How to add devices to a project.” Ensure that the System Remote Control SR-260 driver is added to the project tree.
- (Optional) To configure the properties, click System Design.
- In the project tree, select the System Remote Control object.
- View and change the properties in the Properties pane.
Note: Press any button on the SR-260 to display the configurable property values in the Properties pane.
Tip: You can also change most of these settings on the SR-260 using Info > Config.
- Screen Backlight—Lets you set the light level of the screen's backlight. Select a percentage from 0 (Off) to 100 (full brightness). The default is 100%. Click Set Level.
- Keypad Backlight—Lets you set the light level of the keypad's backlight. Select a percentage from 0 (Off) to 100 (full brightness). The default is 100%. Click Set Level.
- Check Light Sensor Enabled to allow the ambient light sensor to control the backlight.
- Awake Duration—Lets you set how long the remote control stays awake after no activity. The default setting is five seconds, but can be extended to 60 seconds.
- Wake on Motion—Lets you set the SR-260 to wake up when moved. Choose the desired option and click Set Level.
- Check In Interval—Lets you set how often the remote control will check in with the Control4 system on the Zigbee network. The default is 10 seconds, but decreasing the interval may decrease battery life. Click Set Timeout.
- Battery—Lets you view the battery level (strength in %) of your remote.
- Enable Recharge Station—Check this box if you received a Remote Recharging Station with a remote. This feature updates your existing remote to recognize the new rechargeable battery.
- Network—Lets you view the remote’s MAC address and firmware version.
- MAC—Displays the remote's own MAC address.
- Firmware Version—Displays the current firmware version of the remote.
- Watch/Listen Button Behavior—If you select one of the options below, the following action occurs when you press the Watch button.
- No Action—If you select this option and you press the Watch button, nothing happens. This option can be tied to programming a button (see the section below).
- Select Most Recently Used Device—Lists the last three devices (for example, DVD player, media player, TV).
- Show Device List—Lists the source device of the selection. When Show Device List is selected, Watch and Listen items will not show in the List Navigator menu.
- Text Color—Choose the text color to display on the SR-260. The text color will preview in the Text Preview field. Click Set Color.
