Register the controller from a Navigator

Important: To complete the registration from a Navigator, the Navigator must be installed, connected to a controller, and identified in the system. 

To use a Navigator to set up a customer.control4.com account and register this system:

  1. Go to customer.control4.com.
  1. Click New Account at the top of the screen.
  1. Complete the Create Consumer Account form for the user according to the instructions on the page, and then record the Account Name, E-mail Address and Password for the user’s future reference. Note: It’s important that the information entered here is the customer’s, not the dealer’s.
  1. Click Create Account to create an account for this system.
  1. On the Complete Registration page, click Yes.
  1. On the Controller Registration Confirmation page, copy or write down the 10-digit registration code displayed. This code is time-sensitive and must be used within 10 minutes. It provides a temporary code used to exchange security parameters, and set up the ability to create a secure connection between my.control4.com and the controller.
  1. Go to the Navigator's main menu (Home Page), and press Settings > Registration.
  1. Select the text box in Enter Code, and then enter the 10-digit registration code.
  1. When you are finished, tap Done.
  1. Select Activate. When activation is completed, the user can use all media services, such as the online media recognition service.
  1. (Optional) While you are here, you may want to enable Remote Access. Select Service Connection > Yes. This allows Control4 access for system updates and is a required step in enabling user remote access.
