Configuring the shared controller as Communication Server

Prerequisites

• The controller must be configured as Director and identified in the project running OS 3.1 or newer.
• The controller must be registered.
• The Communication agent must be added to the project.

1. Connect to the EA-5 or CA-10 that will be functioning as the Communication Server with Composer Pro.
2. In the Communication agent, go to the Communication Server tab and select This Controller is a Communication Server.
   
3. Add the residences in the residence controllers section.
   1. Click Add.
   2. Enter a name for the residence, for example Unit01. Do not uses spaces, dashes, or underscores.
   3. Enter the external IP for the residence, for example 10.0.0.101.
   4. Enter the extension for the residence. In this example, we will begin with 9001, but any number will work here.
   5. Enter the name of the call group you wish to call. In this example, we will use All.
