Imagine locking your front door from your cell phone, or receiving an email letting you know exactly when your child arrives home from school. The Kwikset SmartCode with HomeConnect Technology deadbolt, combined with a Control4 automation system, does just that.
Never again do you have to worry about whether or not your door is locked as you lay down to go to sleep or on your drive to work (or even worse, when you are out of the country on vacation). You can access the Kwikset lock via your smartphone or internet connection, via a Control4 remote control and your TV, or on a bedside or tabletop touch screen.
If you have integrated your lock into a Control4 system you can add in additional security features like IP cameras to see who is at your door when the doorbell rings or to allow certain codes to work for limited periods of time for housekeepers, pet sitters, etc.
You can also set up your lock with different “scenes”. For example, you can set a “welcome home scene” and when you arrive home from a long day at the office, your code to unlock the door can activate the entertainment system, the lighting and the thermostat to turn on to your desired settings.
The Kwikset lock is available through over 1,600 Control4 dealers today. A Control4 dealer will work with you to install and program the system to your specifications. After that you can remotely monitor and control your home as well as reconfigure access codes for your lock.

- Use the lock codes to initiate customized "scenes" upon entrance and exit - turn on/off lights, adjust thermostat, play music, etc.
