In Las Vegas, few things have the chance to become a classic. The Golden Nugget Las Vegas has become an exception to the rule. With the addition of the new, $150 million Rush Tower, the Golden Nugget will add nearly 500 luxury guest rooms. Beyond the expected—plasma TVs, contemporary décor, prime location—Rush Tower takes full advantage of the Control4Suite Systems Energy Efficient solution.

HVAC Management = Real Savings

Each guest room in the Rush Tower, whether a traditional layout or a one-bedroom parlor suite, includes a Control4 thermostat. Hotel management can then control the thermostat based on room status from the property management system.  When a guest arrives and checks in at the Golden Nugget, the property management system trigger’s the room’s HVAC unit. By the time the guest arrives at the room, the temperature is comfortable. Then, when guests check out, the room thermostat will is raised or lowered to provide realistic energy savings for the resort while helping to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint. The Control4 solution allows for seamless backend automation that works with existing hotel management systems.

Automation Potential

While current room automation only includes thermostat control, the Golden Nugget can elect at any time to integrate more in-room automation including lighting, audio/video equipment, draperies, hotel amenities, and concierge services. This system flexibility gives the Golden Nugget the option to add automation capabilities based on guest demands and by individual rooms. For example, if the Golden Nugget preferred to fully automate only their large guest suites, the Control4 Suite System allows for specific room automation without requiring similar automation throughout the entire tower. With Control4, the Golden Nugget can easily manage its property as it sees fit at a level of customization not guaranteed with other automation systems.
