Project Spotlight: Physical Therapist's Office
TLC, a full-service physical therapy salon, caters to clients who want something extra. With the assistance of John Chance, the owner of Control4 dealer The Home Theater Connection, TLC gets help achieving its number one goal of ensuring clients feel better in body and soul. From the time clients enter the salon, they’re greeted by soothing music managed in multiple audio zones via Control4. Entering the therapy room brings you face to face with a granite waterfall producing a soothing mist that’s complemented by custom, automated lighting.
First-Class Treatment
Lying on the treatment table, clients will enjoy the simulated sky on the ceiling. A separate audio zone allows the therapist to manage music via Control4. Off the treatment table, clients may find treatment more pleasant courtesy of flatscreen TVs with cable access and an iPod dock managed by Control4. Clients can easily manage their media options via a 6-button keypad.
The main therapy room also houses an executive gym with a 7.2 home theater and 65-inch flatscreen TV, all handled by Control4. TLC owner Jason Lamendola also requested a separate audio zone for his private exam room, complete with an in-wall, 7-inch touchscreen for control and operation of the entire practice.
A System with Room to Grow
Every time he touches the system, Lamendola, smiles. During the installation process, he worked with Chance and his team to create a Control4 solution that worked for his clients, his staff, and himself. Over time, Jason has changed and upgraded the Control4 system to meet the ongoing needs of his staff, like requesting The Home Connection install three, in-ceiling, IP cameras to improve the office’s security and allow offsite supervision. With Control4, TLC and its clients can count on a flexible system that makes physical therapy more enjoyable for staff and clients alike.
