Project Spotlight: Chi'nnati's Pizza

When a local restaurant approached Cincinnati-based Viewings AVA about automating multiple systems, they were clear about wanting an easy-to-use system. Working in partnership with Don Laden, the owner of Cincinnati restaurant Chi-nnati's Pizza, Chris Morris of Viewings AVA designed a Control4 system suited for both the public and private areas of the eatery.
Good Food, Easy Entertainment
Viewings AVA installed three Control4 HC300s to manage the audio and video systems. Ten TVs are on a set program that works alongside the opening, closing, and shift change schedules. These TVs can be preset to tune to a specific source like one of the three integrated DirecTV receivers. In addition to managing video, Control4 also handles the restaurant’s audio system.
Music to Their Ears
To accommodate both indoor and outdoor diners, Viewings AVA added the 22 open-ceiling and 12 in-ceiling speakers to the Control4 system and installed an iPod dock. Through these speakers, everything from a streaming music service to iPod playlists can be streamed. Depending on the time of day, the owner can switch between audio options that best match the time of day and dining crowd.
Easy Control
Main system management is handled through three, 7-inch touchscreens. Mobile access is available via his iPhone. For parties or business events, two touchscreens were installed in private rooms so guests may customize their audio and video during a private event. Control4 and Viewings AVA made Chi-nnati's Pizza the place to be in Cincinnati.
