Las Vegas, NEV – January 4, 2004 - Control4, a leading home automation company, will hold its first annual Developers Conference at CES 2005. The conference is organized to further promote third-party manufactures of consumer electronic devices that enable home automation. The conference will include software and hardware product demonstrations that simulate a collaborative IP environment. Participating vendors will include industry leaders such as Sony, Kenwood, Solar Shading Systems, Mitsubishi, Vantage, Orbit, XM Radio and General Electric. Ember Corporation, a Control4 ZigBee Developer Partner, will be co-sponsoring the event. “The conference provides a forum for top consumer companies and independent developers to discuss the development of new products for home automation,” said Jim Gist, director of business development for Control4. “As partner interest continues to grow, we have dedicated resources to accelerate the level of third-party integration.” The conference is being held as part of Control4’s Vendor Partners Program, an initiative of cooperation between third-party vendors to create plug-n-play drivers that communicate in an IP environment and seamlessly interface with Control4 automation systems. Control4’s product portfolio features dozens of Ember-linked wireless products designed to control a home’s lighting, temperature and entertainment devices.
