All regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our benefit package.  Our employees start by accruing three weeks of paid time off a year on top of eight paid holidays and one floating holiday. Benefits include multiple health insurance options (including the option to participate in an HSA), Dental, vision discounts, 401k , Flexible Spending Accounts and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  We’re concerned about the long term security of our employees and offer basic and supplemental life insurance and short-term and long-term disability designed to help out in case the unthinkable becomes reality.

We demand a customer focus from all of our providers and work with the local community to provide benefits found nowhere else.  These include partnerships with Liberty Mutual, Prepaid Legal and local businesses willing to give discounts to Control4 employees.

Want your home automated?  Come to work for Control4 and after six months receive a free, basic, home automation system to put in your home.  Your friends will oooh and ahhh over the technology in your home.  And if you decide a basic system just isn’t enough, employees are eligible to purchase product at a special discounted rate.  If your friends and family are jealous, you can help them purchase product through the friends and family discount programs.


  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

    This is an all purpose time-off policy for eligible employees to use for vacation, illness or personal business. PTO combines traditional vacation and sick leave plans into one flexible, paid time-off policy. Employees accrue 3 weeks of PTO per year for the first two years to help them balance work and personal lives.
  • Holidays

    Control4 offers regular, full-time employees nine paid holidays per year including a floating holiday. Employees are eligible as soon as they start employment.
  • Health Insurance Options

    The medical plans are available the first day of the month following full-time employment. Employees can choose a traditional medical plan or participate in the new Health Savings Account medical plan, both offered through United Health Care.  Control4 pays 100% of an employee’s health insurance premium (additional coverages may be extra), and contributes to employee HSA accounts.
  • Dental Plan

    Control4 uses Humana Dental and offers a PPO with each participant being entitled to a maximum benefit of $1,500 per calendar year for preventative, major and restorative services. Preventive services are covered at 100% with the deductible being waived. Once the deductible is met, the plan covers all other expanses 90% for basic and 60% for major. The percentages are different if the employee uses a non-network provider. Coverage of orthodontia for dependent minors (through age 25) is provided at 50% up to $1,500 lifetime benefit.
  • Vision Discount Plans

    Control4 has vision discount programs through both the medical and dental plans which provide discounts when using preferred providers.
  • 401(k)

    A 401(k) plan is offered through ADP Retirement Services which allows employees to safely save and set aside money for retirement. The money is taken out of the employee’s paycheck before taxes are taken out. The money is also tax-deferred until the money is taken out of the account.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts

    Control4 offers a flexible spending account which allows employees to set aside tax-free dollars to be used for health care expenses or dependent care expenses
  • Life insurance

    Control4 offers Basic Life insurance through Hartford Life as well as a supplemental life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance that employees can purchase. The Basic Life is paid 100% by the company while supplemental coverages are voluntary and paid by the employee.  Employees can’t be turned down for supplemental life insurance up to $100,000.  Supplemental Accidental Death and Dismemberment limits are as high as $300,000.
  • Short-term disability

    Control4 offers short-term disability insurance which is a voluntary benefit which pays up to 66 2/3% of an employee’s salary and starts on the seventh day of illness or injury.
  • Long-term disability

    Long-term disability is a company provided benefit which pays up to 66 2/3% of an employee’s salary and starts on the 91st day of injury or illness.
  • Liberty Mutual

    Liberty Mutual offers employees a program called Great Savings Plus, which gives employee’s a discount on auto and homeowners insurance. The premiums can be payroll deducted.
  • Prepaid Legal

    Pre-paid Legal, a kind of “legal insurance,” is also available to all employees along with Identity Theft Protection services that can be easily deducted from an employee’s paycheck.
  • Employee Beta Program

    After employees have worked for Control4 for six (6) months, they are provided with a free basic Control4 system and able to participate in the company beta program.
  • Employee Purchase Program

    This program is set up so that employees can purchase Control4 products at a discount for family and friends.
